Let's prevent high blood pressure
High blood pressure, or hypertension, causes progressive damage over the years if left uncontrolled. Blood pressure is the force exerted by blood against the walls of our arteries. Generally, pressure is measured using two numbers, the systolic and the diastolic, and is expressed in millimeters of mercury (mm Hg). For example, 120/80 mm Hg. This means a systolic pressure of 120 and a diastolic pressure of 80. We would have high blood pressure if the readings show that the systolic pressure is greater than 130 mm Hg or the diastolic pressure is 80 mm Hg or higher. High blood pressure, or arterial hypertension, causes progressive damage over the years; if left uncontrolled, it can lead to a stroke, heart attack, impaired kidney function, memory loss, personality changes, concentration problems, irritability, or progressive loss of consciousness. Always alert to fight Covid-19!
COVID-19 arrived in our country more than a year ago, and we never imagined that its arrival would completely change our way of working and our daily lives. The management of the virus by health authorities and the implemented protocols have allowed us to remain operational, but have forced us to modify the way we do things. Since we must remain alert at all times to combat the pandemic, we want to use this space to reinforce together the measures that are important to keep giving our best in our stores and ensure business continuity. These are: • Stay home if you have COVID-19 symptoms; this significantly reduces the risk of spreading it to others in the event you are infected. • Complete the daily entry and direct contact surveys to facilitate the timely activation of the COVID-19 protocol if required. • Maintain physical distancing, use personal protective equipment, wash hands, and follow cough and sneeze protocols, as these significantly limit the spread of the virus. • Respond to the call of health authorities to the different vaccination centers according to the group we fall into; this will allow us to reach the herd immunity that the country needs so much sooner. We hope that the pandemic will soon be a thing of the past; for now, we can only continue to take care of ourselves and thus protect our loved ones and our Customers.
