Life plan: six steps to create one tailored to you

In the context of a new year, it is a good time to build a life plan that effectively addresses the goals and dreams we wish to achieve in this new period. In his article “How to make a life plan,” psychologist Arturo Torres (psicologiaymente.com) presents a six-step guide that will allow you to create a customized life plan. Analyze your life expectations: think about a realistic margin of change according to your current life circumstances. If your plan intends to make you a billionaire tomorrow, you would be exposing yourself to frustration or the postponement of your goals. Determine your values: no life plan will prosper if it goes against your values; list them and assign a level of importance to each one. Determine your needs: think about what fulfills you most, but not just your immediate desires. Consider objectives that encompass large projects. Transform your needs and values into actions: define the strategies that will take you from your present situation to the fulfillment of your goals. Reflect on the role that other people will play in your life: in the construction of your plan, take into account the people around you and those who may surround you in the future. Apply your life plan and monitor it: do not follow your plan blindly; stay alert, as your needs may change spontaneously over time. Home page Was this article useful to you?  Yes No

An organized person

Sometimes we experience high levels of anxiety when we feel that time is running out and tasks are piling up and never seem to end. It also happens that we feel that "being organized just isn't my thing" and that people who succeed at it do so because they are more capable. Well, the moment of truth has arrived: you are not born organized, you become organized. Let’s look at the most important traits of an organized person, according to an article from the site aorganizarte.com: 1. Plans each day the night before; keeping track of appointments and tasks is very useful. 2. Has and uses a single task list, or two if separating personal life from work life. 3. Dedicates a set amount of time to checking emails, minutes, or logs. Not too much time, but focused on it. 4. Clears their workspace; a clear desk or workspace means a clear mind. 5. Before going to bed, spends a few minutes tidying up so the next day will also start in order. 6. Assigns a place for everything and always puts it back in its spot. 7. Writes everything down, that way they remember everything, from a grocery purchase to a project idea. 8. Does not procrastinate; they do everything at the moment and do not put off what they can do now. 9. Is optimistic and has an "I can do it" attitude, even if in small steps. 10. Knows how to de-stress and step away from everything when they need to gather strength and relax. Now check which of these traits you have; do you consider yourself an organized person? Transcend

As time passes and we evaluate life's various experiences, it is normal that we now assign a different value to some things we may not have given much importance to before. It may be that the way we value them now has to do with the experience we have been able to accumulate over the years, but such a short life should lead us not to wait so long for that which is truly valuable. On this occasion, we are going to talk about a word that is powerful in itself and whose meaning is even more so: transcend. According to etymology, this word is explained by a natural state of the human being to journey upward, giving meaning to growth, to becoming better and better. In this way, it is of the utmost importance that we set goals in life that go beyond material achievements and the accumulation of wealth; it is about recognizing the legacy we would like to leave behind during our time in the world. In the words of Chilean engineer Bernardita Espinoza on her website www.poderyliderazgo.cl: “We transcend when we provide work and well-being to others, when those people form their families, build their homes, their dreams, when our suppliers and contractors develop, grow, train, and improve the lives of other people... When more people are educated, when more people have justice, when more people have equity, respect, and appreciation, thanks in part to what we have done in life”. As when, with our work, we help build homes. Main page Did you find this article useful? Yes No

Responsibility for Development

The World Economic Forum website published what specialists consider to be the 10 most important professional skills to successfully face the challenges of the year 2025. For this article, we have selected one of them, described as "Active learning and learning strategies." With just over a year left until 2025, it is timely to remember the importance of activating our learning processes, embracing it as a personal and daily commitment. The "Thirst for Learning" (Sed de Aprender) campaign presented us this year with a series of recommendations and strategies to make the most of the self-learning process and has been closely linked to one of our eight competencies: responsibility for development. According to our competency inventory, responsibility for development is present in those employees who proactively promote conditions that stimulate the desire to improve performance and professional profile, as preparation for facing business challenges; hence the importance of extending a special and timely invitation to review the different behavioral indicators that make up this competency, according to the role we perform today. Likewise, it is necessary to understand the responsibility that leaders have to encourage and promote self-learning practices within work teams as an essential tool for facing the challenges that define our future strategies starting today. Learn more about this and other competencies in our Document System and take advantage of the @prende+ platform to increase your knowledge. Main page Was this article useful? Yes No

Resilience: The 12 Habits

From a psychological perspective, the concept of resilience has a broader scope than just the human capacity to flexibly accept extreme situations and overcome them; it is about the ability to emerge from those situations strengthened. Resilient people are not born, they are made, and this means they have had to face many adverse situations, have found themselves on the brink of the abyss, and have given their best, developing the necessary skills to handle the situation at hand, which they will continue to have available to solve the various challenges of life. According to the blog “elpradopsicologos.es“, resilient people are characterized by 12 habits: 1. They are aware of their potential and limitations and know how to use them to their advantage. 2. They are creative, transforming their painful experiences into something beautiful or useful. 3. They trust in their abilities, feeling confident in achieving the things they undertake. 4. They view difficulties as an opportunity to learn. 5. They have the habit of being fully present, living in the here and now. 6. They see life objectively, but always through an optimistic lens. 7. They surround themselves with people who have a positive attitude. 8. They do not try to control situations, but rather their emotions, to have a better response. 9. They are flexible in the face of change, adapting their plans or goals when necessary. 10. They are tenacious in their purposes, persevering, and have a fighting spirit. 11. They face adversity with humor, which helps them stay optimistic. 12. They are aware of the importance of social support and do not hesitate to seek help when they need it. Body language and non-verbal communication

Did you know that in a face-to-face conversation, the verbal component is 35% and non-verbal communication is 65%? – Body language and our non-verbal communication reveal who we are, how we feel, and even our preferences. Non-verbal communication expert César Toledo explains the seven channels through which non-verbal behavior is expressed: Facial expressions: the seven basic emotions are reflected in the face innately and universally: joy, surprise, sadness, fear, anger, disgust, and contempt. Gestures: gestures accompany verbal discourse and precede words by milliseconds; they have a close link to credibility. Postures: they basically express the degree of interest and openness toward others, reflected in the exposure and orientation of the torso. Appearance: although we try to avoid stereotypes, appearance is the main source of information when forming a first impression of someone. Haptics: referring to touch; for example, shaking hands at the beginning and end of a conversation can be decisive in establishing a good relationship. Proxemics: the most direct channel of body language when it comes to showing ourselves to be physically close or distant. Paralanguage: this is the volume, tone, or speed of our voice; it reveals important information. And remember: silence also communicates. Main page Was this article useful to you? Yes No

Los tres niveles de la escucha asertiva

The three levels of assertive listening

As we well know, communication is an art, and one of the most powerful tools for developing it is listening. The impact that good listening skills have on how we relate to others is very positive and beneficial. Daniel Colombo, Master Coach and professional communicator, presents the three levels from which we operate when listening, which we detail below: First level - Internal World: At this level, you only hear the voice; it is the definition of “hearing,” without paying attention to other aspects. This is what happens when we are focused on something, someone else speaks to us, and we respond automatically. It is a very superficial level from which you will not be able to extract anything too interesting or profound. Second level – Focused intentional interest: In this case, you create a deeper level of connection, since in the exchange of active listening, the voice is perceived with all its nuances and presence, and this decisively influences the quality of the listening. Third level – Global range of listening: At this level, you perceive the emotions, sensory subtleties, small eye movements, depth of gaze, and skin tone while the person expresses themselves. It will allow you to grasp the world of the other more deeply; you will set aside superficial judgments and interpretations and immerse yourself with greater precision in what they say, what they narrate, and what they feel. The suggestion is to practice assertive listening as much as possible until it becomes a habit. Main page Was this article useful to you? Yes No

Attitude: the key to a service that makes us the preferred choice

February 2025. Our mission is clear: To serve the Customer in a way that makes us their preferred choice. But what truly makes us preferred? Beyond products and prices, it is our attitude that makes the difference. The attitude with which we welcome the Customer defines their experience. Applying the 6 steps of the sale, a genuine smile, and a real interest in their needs build trust and loyalty. Excellence in service is not just about resolving questions, but about anticipating them, demonstrating knowledge, and offering solutions with enthusiasm. Every interaction is an opportunity to strengthen the relationship with the Customer. Patience, empathy, and a willingness to help create a positive impact that goes beyond the purchase. When we embrace our mission with commitment, we transform every sale into an experience the Customer wants to repeat. Great service does not depend solely on procedures; it depends on a positive attitude and a vocation for service. Let us make every interaction a reason for the Customer to prefer us, today and always. Main page Was this article useful to you? Yes No

Moving forward toward a bright new year!

This season gives us the opportunity to reflect on the passing year and set exciting goals for the next one. Let's take advantage of this magical time to strengthen family bonds and chart goals that drive us toward a bright future. Setting SMART goals for the new year: As the year comes to an end, it is natural to reflect on your achievements and think about what you want for the future. Instead of setting generic goals like "being healthier" or "saving money," let's adopt the SMART approach for achievable goals: • Specific (S): Clearly define what you want to achieve. For example, instead of saying "be healthier," you can say "exercise at least three times a week." • Measurable (M): Establish visible indicators to track your progress. For example, "lose 5 kilograms" instead of just "lose weight." • Achievable (A): Ensure your goals are realistic and attainable, avoiding objectives beyond your current reach. • Relevant (R): Ensure your goals are aligned with your values and overall objectives, promoting your well-being and happiness. • Time-bound (T): Set realistic deadlines for your goals; this helps you stay focused and committed. Let us celebrate the joy of being together in this special moment and use that positive energy to set goals that propel us toward success in the coming year.
