REGULATIONS FOR THE SALE OF THE DCE 15 PLUS STANDARD HEATER WITH FREE OR INCLUDED INSTALLATION
The company Ferretería EPA, S.A., with legal entity identification number 3-101-354271, establishes these General Regulations, which include all restrictions, limitations, and conditions that apply for the purpose of regulating and implementing the benefit of free or included installation for the customer, in order to avoid confusing or erroneous information for the consumer. Therefore, the following regulations are established, the observance of which is mandatory for the application of the free or included installation benefit for any of the services in question, and especially for the benefit of the sale and installation of the DHC E12, 240V ELECTRONIC HEATER according to these regulations:
Article 1. Validity and Application of the Special Offer or Promotion:
The product 2440045 DCE 15 Plus, 240V ELECTRONIC HEATER offered under the free or included installation promotion, corresponds solely and exclusively to the item individually identified with a sign indicating "Free Installation" and which has effectively been included in that program by Ferretería EPA, S.A. For the purposes of these regulations, the participating product is: 2440045 DCE 15 Plus, 240V ELECTRONIC HEATER, brand STIEBEL ELTRON, which has been assigned the following code:
- 24-40-045 DCE 15 Plus ELECTRONIC HEATER GERMANY
The previous code participates in "Free Installation Labor" subject to prior communication and scheduling of an appointment with the provider, IMPORTACIONES CAMPOS RUDIN, for the STIEBEL ELTRON brand. In this regard, the free installation labor shall not be for a permanent or indefinite period.
Validity of the benefit:
The service will begin on June 27, 2023, and will apply to all units sold until July 17, 2023. Purchases of the aforementioned heater equipment made outside the timeframe established in these Regulations will not have the benefit of "Free Installation Labor."
Free or included installation is understood to mean that the Customer shall not pay any additional sum beyond the product sale price for installation labor; however, the customer must assume the costs of the materials required to carry out the installation of the heater (i.e., breakers, electrical cable, piping, couplings, supply hoses, Teflon tape) in accordance with the limitations of these Regulations.
Article 2. Responsibility for Installation: Ferretería EPA S.A. shall not assume any responsibility for the installation of the product purchased by the customer in any of its stores that has said benefit, given that the sole party responsible for the quality of the installation will be the provider of the acquired product as well as the installation, which is a third party unrelated to Ferretería EPA S.A. In this sense, the technicians who perform the installation are not hired by Ferretería EPA S.A. nor do they represent it before the consumer, but rather are workers or contractors of the provider. The responsibility of Ferretería EPA to the consumer is limited to offering and advertising the free installation labor for the consumer, selling the product, accessories, and installation materials, as well as offering the product warranty, while the installation warranty shall be the responsibility of the product provider. At all times, the customer must keep the purchase invoice for the product and the required materials in order to be able to initiate and complete the installation.
The deadline for performing the installation will be 10 business days after the purchase, through a telephone coordination process between Importaciones Campos Rudin SA and the end customer.
Coverage Range: Free or Included Installation applies only within a radius of no more than 15 km from the store where the purchase was made and invoiced. Therefore, for locations or cantons beyond 15 km, an additional charge of 2,000 colones per kilometer will be applied according to the mileage to the location where the final installation is performed. Payment of such expenses to the installation team will be the responsibility of the customer and must be paid directly to the installer.
Cancellation of Installation Appointment: In the event of a failure to meet the installation appointment, where the customer does not provide notice of cancellation at least 24 hours in advance, the customer must pay an additional cost of 25,000 colones for that failed visit.
Article 3. Installation Materials: The customer must purchase the 2440045 DCE 15 Plus ELECTRONIC HEATER participating in the free installation labor benefit, as well as all materials required for the installation and operation of the acquired item. In this regard, it is clarified that neither Ferretería EPA S.A. nor the provider of the acquired product will provide any product required for the installation, except for the tools and/or equipment as well as the labor necessary for it. Thus, the Customer must provide, at their own cost and responsibility, the services and materials required for the installation which are NOT included:

- For installations beyond a 15 km radius of each store, the additional transport charge according to the distance of the location (2,000 colones per additional kilometer).
- Hot and cold water pipe stubs located no more than 2 meters from the point where the heater will be placed.
- Correct electrical stubs (thermomagnetic circuit breakers and electrical cable suitable for the heater's power located no more than 1 meter from the point where the heater will be placed).
Article 4. Illustrations and Photographs: The illustrations or photographs used in the publication of the free installation offer or promotion are for illustrative purposes only. The size and design, as well as the dimensions of the product on offer or promoted, may vary according to the inventory available in each store.
Article 5. Warranty: The installation will have a warranty, which will be the sole and exclusive responsibility of the provider, who will define the term and the necessary conditions that the customer must meet for its application, which must be communicated by the provider to the customer, as specified below:
- 30-day warranty on Installation Labor.
- The warranty does not apply to failure of materials provided by the customer.
- Warranty Application:
The customer may manage a warranty claim, on-site equipment inspection, or coordinate installations by contacting the provider's phone number and contact person (See Annex 1) and providing the requested information.
Article 6. Suspension or Modification of the Benefit: Ferretería EPA S.A. may modify, suspend, or terminate early any benefit, offer, or promotion of free installation labor immediately, without any liability on its part, totally or partially, indefinitely or definitively, if any force majeure or unforeseen event occurs that warrants it. Likewise, for commercial reasons or convenience, it may also modify, suspend, or terminate any offer or promotion under the same terms, at its sole discretion, without the need for prior notice other than that published at the customer service offices in each of the Ferretería EPA stores.
Article 7. Non-Compliance: Any violation of these regulations and/or the procedures and systems for applying the Benefit, Promotion, or Special Offer will imply the immediate exclusion of the consumer from participating in the Benefit, Promotion, or Offer and/or the revocation of the application of the purchase of Products under the corresponding Benefit, Promotion, or Offer.
