The feeling of spacious and open areas is a feature that most, if not all, people seek for the rooms in their home.
Today, when most houses and apartments tend to have limited space, it is important to know tricks and ways to achieve that sense of spaciousness and brightness. Mirrors are a very practical and effective way to achieve this.
Today we bring you a decoration proposal using mirrors for your dining area, living room, or wherever you need it most! This design works in a space 1.60m wide by 1.65m high.
In five steps, you will renovate this room in your home.
Do it yourself!
1" ScotchBlue tape
White paint
1 1/2" Screws + Wall plugs**
1" Off-white multipurpose tape**
** If the wall where you will place the mirrors is made of concrete, there are two options: use screws with wall plugs or use steel nails with the multipurpose tape. The second option causes less damage to the wall. If the wall is made of drywall, use only screws and drywall anchors.
Instructions:
1. Use the measuring tape to measure the space you have available to select the mirrors you want, also taking into account the dimensions of each one. If you choose to place a group of mirrors, define the position and the way you will group them before you start working on the wall.
2. Once you have selected the number of mirrors, paint the frames the desired color or leave the original walnut color.
3. Mark with the multipurpose tape the places where you will drill the holes to place the mirrors; this way, you will prevent the drill from slipping.
4. Drill slowly but firmly. Make sure the hole is deep enough. Insert wall plugs of the same diameter as the drill bit used to make the hole. Then, insert the screws.
5. Place the mirrors and adjust them into position so that they look straight and impeccable on the wall.
Make mirrors your allies to create elegant and spacious rooms. Do it yourself!
