Ecoins is the first regional program that invites the consumer to be part of the recycling value chain. It is through shared responsibility that the traditional approach to recycling as an environmental problem can be changed and turned into an economic opportunity.
Project description:
Ecoins is a virtual currency granted in exchange for clean, dry, and separated material brought to a recovery center, which can be exchanged for discounts on products and services at the website www.ecoins.eco, promoting proper waste disposal and driving a green, circular, and solidary economy.
Execution period:
We act as a collection center on the first Friday of every month at all stores.

Curridabat, Escazú, Belén, Tibás, and Desamparados.
Main results:
Every month, hundreds of kilograms of materials were delivered, such as plastic, glass, paper, cardboard, tetrapack, aluminum, tinplate, plastic caps and bags, and electrical and electronic equipment.
